What a Time to Be Alive
Drake doesn’t seem to get a chance to relax does he? The multi-talented rapper-cum-producer-cum-entrepreneur-cum-about-a-million-other-things keeps himself busy releasing Grammy award winning albums and launching his own brand of whiskey, but this weekend the multi-talent out did himself by having an absolute huge one.
It started on Saturday, whilst you and I may have been pre-drinking and/or slumped on the sofa watching reality telly. Meanwhile a new remix of N.E.R.D. & Rihanna’s ‘Lemon’, featuring Drake, dropped, and it’s even better than it sounds.
Pharrell premiered the track during a guest mix on OVO Sound Radio (the radio of record label OVO sound, which is obviously owned by Drake), and it absolute bangs. Mimicking Rihanna’s verse from the original, Drake boldly declares: “I get it how I live it, I live it how I get it, y’all don’t really get it, I pull up in a lemon”, going on to discuss the top quality life advice his father gave him (“My daddy told me, “Listen / You better get some money and not die and go to prison””) and 3D printers (it is 2018, after all).
But not content with only offering us mere mortals his slick verse on ‘Lemon’; Drake also found the time to appear in Migos’ brilliant ‘Walk It Talk It’ video. Channelling Soul Train, Migos and Drizzy kick it back to the ’70s, retro dance moves, bell-bottoms, wigs and all. Check out the video below, which also features an excellent from Jamie Foxx (who plays the host of a TV show).
And fans are loving the video:
God bless you Drake, and your work ethic that makes us tired just thinking about it.
