Glastonbury Festival Announces 2011 Line-Up – What Do You Think?

Don’t know about you but I’ve had the Glasto buzz building inside me for a while now. There’s something about knowing this is the last one until 2013 that makes this year’s June bender feel even more special than usual. As anyone who goes knows, it’s the best weekend of the year regardless of who’s playing, but Mikey and Emily just unveiled that main ingredient – the line-up. Here’s who’s playing where and when.

Michael Eavis

While line-up naysayers are usually nothing but a nuisance (if you can’t find something to watch at any given time it’s usually your problem not the organisers’) I’ll concede this isn’t exactly a vintage year – and Saturday night round the Pyramid parts will be a particularly tough time. However, there’s more than enough decent music. For me it looks to be all about West Holts for a change while the new “Spirit Of ’71” stage, which features The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, Edgar Broughton, Terry Reid, looks interesting.

And of course if you find a hole in the schedule there’s (deep breath) Avalon, WOW, Cubehenge, Pussy Parlure, The Hub, Club Dada, The Common, Leftfield, Greenfields, the theatre, the Unfairground, Crossant Neuf, Cubana and Bourbon Street. Plus The Common just announced its Latino Playground theme which will be home to “twisted voodoo parlours, debauched bordellos and criminal party houses”. As usual, you’d be able to relive the weekend 100 times over and not do the same thing twice.
