We’ve been eagerly awaiting the new album from Atlanta terrors Black Lips ever since bassist Jared Swilley teased it to NME as sounding like “The Fonz fucking a monkey while riding a motorcycle into the sun” last month. Now it’s here, while we can’t quite comment on the accuracy of that description – we’re not sure I’ve seen that episode of Happy Days, Jared. Presumably because it’s banned and locked in a US government vault somewhere – we can confirm it’s a twisted, sleaze-splashed delight of a record, full of every bit the blues guitar chaos fans have come to expect from the Southern rockers. But don’t take our word for it. Stream the record in its filthy entirety below ahead of its March 17 release, exclusively on NME.com. Preorder the album here.
