David Lynch Is Throwing His Own Music Festival And It Looks Beyond Amazing

Big Twin Peaks fan? Want to spend a weekend immersing yourself in creator David Lynch‘s world? Great news incoming – there’s a new festival coming to LA that’s gonna make your dreams come true.

David Lynch’s Festival Of Disruption will not only feature a performance of music from his cult TV show by Sky Ferreira, Angelo Badalamenti and Xiu Xiu, but also some of the best, most interesting artists in the world. We’re talking St Vincent, Questlove, Jon Hopkins and more.

Plus, you can witness true icons Debbie Harry and her Blondie bandmate Chris Stein in conversation, as well as Twin Peaks stars Kyle MacLachlan and Laura Dern. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also gonna be screenings of rarely seen short films by Lynch, daily Transcendental Meditation sessions, virtual reality, art and more.

It’s all taking place at the Ace Hotel and Theatre in Los Angeles, so you’ll have to save up those pennies if you wanna do as the festival website suggests and “dive in”. Luckily for you, it’s not happening til October 8-9 so there’s still time to get scrimping.

All proceeds from the festival will benefit the David Lynch Foundation, which aims to reduce toxic stress and trauma among at-risk populations, like victims of domestic violence, veterans suffering from PTSD and underserved urban youth. So, basically, you get to witness some amazing performances and art, and help those less privileged than you. That’s what we call a win-win situation.
