James Corden is good at showing off musicians’ sense of humour – just a couple of weeks ago he had Alanis Morissette singing new lyrics to her nineties hit ‘Ironic’. Initially it seems like Ellie Goulding isn’t quite ready to buy into this very, very silly genre mishmash of her chart-topping 50 Shades single ‘Love Me Like you Do’. But as soon as we break into hip hop, country and rave – for which Goulding dons a ‘YOLO’ t-shirt – it’s clear she’s not afraid to take the piss out of herself.
