Hear This Otherworldly Mash-up Of Star Wars Themes and The Notorious B.I.G.

John Williams’ Star Wars soundtrack is a Grammy- and Oscar-winning masterwork. The Notorious B.I.G.’s posthumously released second album ‘Life After Death’ is regarded as one of the greatest rap records of all time.

Here, then, is ‘Life After Death Star’, a new mash-up album made by Otaku Gang, aka the producer Solar Slim and excellently named rapper Richie Branson. ‘The Imperial March’ is set Biggie’s ‘Dead Wrong’ and the swoonsome ‘Binary Sunset’ rolls atop ‘Ten Crack Commandments’. So, not all of Biggie rhymes come from ‘Life After Death’ cuts – the mash-up spans his all-too-short career – but a title like that is too good to waste, right?

Perhaps the most thrilling track is ‘Big Poppa’, taken from Biggie’s 1994 debut album ‘Ready To Die’, here accompanied by Darth Vader intoning, “If only you knew the power of the Dark Side”. Pick your favourite moment below.
