Last night, Kobe Bryant played his final basketball game for the Los Angeles Lakers after a storied 20 year career. Although his side have been dreadful in his final season, that was forgotten as fans and plenty celebrities on The Staples Center in downtown LA to witness Kobe’s final game before his retirement, in which the Lakers beat the Utah Jazz and Kobe scored an incredible 60 points.
Although a pinnacle figure in Los Angeles sporting history and beyond, his whole night was initially almost overshadowed by Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea who performed the US national anthem before the game. On bass. And butchered it.
Yeah, that really happened and you just sat and watched it.
Some of music’s biggest names including Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Ice Cube and Justin Timberlake all featured in this farewell video from the Lakers’ official Twitter account.

Many even managed to bag tickets for the game – for which tickets were selling for thousands of dollars beforehand.
Kanye West had a whale of a time at the momentous night – even designing his own shirt for the occasion
