NME Exclusive – Listen To Kwabs’ Stunning And Soulful New EP ‘Walk’

NME has been a bit smitten with Kwabs for some time now – especially after his ace ‘Pray For Love’ EP, released earlier this year, came with the standout track ‘Something Right’. “His damaged lyrics and [producer] Sohn’s frigid beats quake in such a way that they whip up a freezing, doom-heavy feeling,” said NME’s Ben Homewood at the time.

Sadly, we’ll have to wait a little longer for his debut album – his first full-length LP is set to be released in 2015 – but this should fill the gap nicely: his new EP ‘Walk’ is out on October 6, and NME has the exclusive premiere below.

Speaking about the title track, Kwabs says: “I’m really excited about ‘Walk’. I guess it’s about that age-old problem: ‘I wanna stay but I’ve gotta leave…’ I think people will get that. It is definitely coming at an exciting time for me too…

“I’ve had a hectic festival run this summer, performing at Wireless, Glastonbury, Latitude, SGP and Bestival and now looking forward to my next London show, at KOKO in October. I was humbled to see how quickly that one sold out and look forward to sharing more music and live experiences with my amazing fans.”
