Ok get ready – this lot is HEAVY. First up, the best named band I got introduced to this week, Lords Of Falconry. Info on them is a bit hazy – their MySpace claims they’re from United Arab Emirates and that they peddle southern rock, and their 11 (yes, eleven) friends don’t disagree, and there’s no press photos – but all you really need to is click play and see what you think. Here’s opening track, the also brilliantly-named ‘Doomsday Legislation’, a gutsy Hawkwind blowing into 2010 at Force 10.

Teeth Of The Sea also craft psychedelic rock, come from Manor House, and bonded over strong cider. When I heard that I thought I may be in the band. Fans of Comets On Fire, Acid Mothers Temple, Black Mountain and the rest of that shiz will enjoy this.
Finally, as featured in the mag’s On Repeat section, Pulled Apart By Horses do some damage to Sky Larkin’s ‘Somersault’.
