#IStandWithTaylor: Taylor Swift Fans Show Support On Twitter After Torrid Week

Put bluntly – it’s not been a great week for Taylor Swift. Late last week, she was called out by her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris for her sudden announcement that she had a hand in penning his latest tune ‘This Is What You Came For’. As a result, her long-running beef with Katy Perry was reignited as the ‘California Girls’ singer responded to claims by Harris that she was trying to ‘bury’ Katy with a sassy tweet.

Then, worst of all, her even bigger beef with Kanye West boiled over once again over that controversial ‘Famous’ lyric. Following Sunday’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, West’s wife Kim Kardashian posted a video to Snapchat showing a phone call between Swift and West which appeared to show singer approving parts of the line; “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that bitch famous”. Swift had previously denied she had given her permission.

That moment when Kanye West secretly records your phone call, then Kim posts it on the Internet.

By the time she responded via Instagram, the Taylor onslaught hit peak velocity – with fans using the hashtag #KimExposedTaylorParty to share disparaging memes about the singer and her ability to get in a fight with just about anyone. Even some of her own fans started to turn on Taylor, accusing her of lying and being too worried about her public image.

But loyal Swifties soon lined up in solidarity with the singer with their own hashtag,#IStandWithTaylor to express their support.

All some needed was to remember the reason they became fans in the first place – the music:

One quite simply liked her smile

Fans also used the hashtag to remember the good she does for her supporters

Many also praised her invaluable advice

But of course, there had to be one who ruins it
