‘Something’s Burning’ in The Stone Roses‘ camp. Rumours are flooding social media and message boards that this very week we will be hearing brand new music from the beloved Manchester giants – their first in over 20 years.
How do we know this? Well, right now, we don’t for sure, but if there’s one thing we’ve learned about Stone Roses news is that posters of lemons mean an announcement is imminent.
Back in November, mysterious lemon posters popped up around Manchester. Just days later the band announced several huge shows at the city’s Etihad Stadium in June. Now it’s happening again, with lemon posters appearing in Newcastle, Glasgow, London and Leeds too.
Back in March, Ian Brown confirmed to NME that the band were working on new music at Church Studios in north London and added that it sounds ‘glorious’.
Then, after a quiet month, rumours again started circulating after a fan met bassist Mani, who told him a new single will be coming this week. And now the lemons, beginning in Manchester and now cropping up nationwide. Check out our map below. Seen one that we’ve missed?
