This Guy Perfectly Recreated The Trailer For ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ In ‘Fallout 4’

If you like sci-fi/fantasy/action films and also play games like Fallout, there’s a YouTube user you need to start following. Meet UpIsNotJump, a guy from the UK who magically recreates trailers for things like Captain America, The Walking Dead and at the moment, Suicide Squad in his spare time, using mods for Fallout 4, a sprawling game set in an irradiated world that somehow survived the nuclear apocalypse.

Cut him some slack, then, for the slightly grubby appearance of some of the shots in his latest creation – the trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but in the world of Fallout. It’s pretty much a shot-for-shot re-enactment of the new trailer, which was released just a few days ago and shows our heroine, Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) taking on the empire as an especially maverick rebel in the Rebel Alliance.

To make it, he spent 60 hours visiting game locations such as The Institute (the shiny bit) and the post-apocalyptic wasteland (less shiny), using modifications to add models of Stormtroopers and, er, Death Stars, and console commands to alter camera shots, while keeping the audio from the original trailer. Catch his creation above, and see the actual trailer below:
