Nottingham trio Kagoule are busy working away on their debut album, due for release sometime in 2015, but, to keep them in our consciousness while we wait for that record to emerge, they’ve shared new song called ‘Gush’. Like a quieter, calmer Smashing Pumpkins and boasting the bass bounce of the Breeders, it’s a constantly transforming track that mixes clever time signatures with bold dynamics and a baffling burst into life in the major key. What’s more, this song might not even make the cut when it comes to their LP – something that can only mean there’s even better still to come from the three friends.
Listen to ‘Gush’ below and catch them at the below dates this month:
Leeds Brudenell Social Club (December 9)
London The Dome (10)
