Watch Harrison Ford Describe His Star Wars Leg Injury Using A Han Solo Action Figure

There’s a well-worn anecdote about Harrison Ford saying George Lucas, of his Star Wars script, “You can type this shit, George, but you sure can’t say it!” In fact, it’s long been alleged that Ford hated playing Han Solo, the role that made him famous, though a Vulture writer recently claimed that the actor had shown a softer attitude towards the character at a recent Comic Con panel in San Diego, getting “choked up” as he talked about Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which is released December 17.

Well, Ford is back to his old ways, being comically curmudgeonly on The Tonight Show. When host Jimmy Kimmell asked Ford if he got emotional about playing the character, Ford curtly responded: “No, I got paid.” Zing! The 72-year-old also discussed the notorious accident that befell him on-set last year, when a door closed on and broke his leg. He demonstrated the incident using – of all things – a Han Solo action figure, which he then stripped naked. Check it out below.
