Bad Sounds Go To Kung Fu School In ‘Wages’ Video

Judging by their previous videos, Bad Sounds are not a band that take themselves too seriously. After Annie Mac debuted their latest track ‘Wages’, they’ve now shared the brilliant, and light-hearted accompanying video for it. Watch it in full below.

Bad Sounds ‘Wages’- 29 Nov 2016- Camden Assembly, London- 30 Nov 2016 – The Exchange, Bristol- ‘Wages’ Co-Produced by Bad Sounds and Duncan Mills, Mixed by James Dring Directed by Bad Sounds Filmed by Jamie Harding- Edited by Luke Nutt (Nutthouse Media)- Featuring the ZENSHIN DOJO: Kate Easdale Jones Jessica Chard Noah May Sara Salemon Lily Townsend Rocco Gibbons Teyani Gibbons Shaanti Kemp Sayo Kubo-Richards Lauren Stocker And a huge thanks to Kate and Rob from Kate Easdale’s Black Belt Academy (KEBBA)!!!

In it, the group go to Kung Fu school (in a way) with some guidance from Bruce Lee, who helps them nail their high-flying kicks, wielding some pretty dangerous looking weapons. The accompanying song blends the bombastic nature of A Tribe Called Quest’s early material and the wicked storytelling ability of Jamie T, as the group recall their time working in retail and how it makes your ‘patience paper thin’. We hear you.

Of the song, the group said: “‘Wages is our working in retail ballad, it comes from us getting stuck in situations that we don’t want to be stuck in. It’s just a bit of a sulk and some trumpets…”

Bad Sounds will play:

Camden Assembly, London (Nov 29)

Exchange, Bristol (Nov 30)
