Slumbers are a trio of New York songwriters and vocalists – Sabrina, Emma and Claire – who play shows in eye-masks and dressing gowns, and whose tunes are sweetly soporific. Ahead of releasing their EP ‘Come Over’ on November 25 they’ve just shared new track ‘Doboom Soom’, which was written when Sabrina from the band was so sad she couldn’t get out of bed. This is the sound of hiding from the world under a duvet, and after everything 2016’s thrown at us, we can totally sympathise.
“I wrote ‘Doboom Soom’ one morning, freshman year,” Sabrina says, “when I was too sad to get outta bed but could reach my guitar. I think I skipped my class that morning and my roommate was gone so that was cool. I was just by myself for most of the time around when I wrote that… kinda painful and lonely but also a nice time doing something I like”. Check it out below:
