New Music Of The Day: Misty Miller – Girlfriend (Video Premiere)

“‘Girlfriend’ was the first song I wrote which gave me a sense of the direction I was going. I’d got my electric guitar and finally I could be be confrontational and release energy on stage.”

That’s what Brixton up-and-comer Misty Miller has to say about her thundering indie pop single ‘Girlfriend’. Featuring footage from her sold-out gig at London’s 100 Club back in November, the single’s new live video, which premieres on today, showcases some of the qualities that make Miller so damn exciting – her knack for intimate lyrics mixed with punchy melodies and a penchant for a powerful live performance.

The track will feature on her forthcoming album ‘The Whole Family Is Worried’, which is released on April 8 via Sony Music, and if you enjoyed the thrilling footage in the new video, well you’re in luck! Miller is set to take her talents on the road again in April in support of the album and you can see the full slate of gigs below.
