New Music Of The Day: Shame – ‘The Lick’

South London’s Brixton is a brilliant indie hotbed right now. It’s where Rough Trade signees Goat Girl have been gigging extensively for a while now, alongside the batshit and simply brilliant HMLTD. Completing the trio from there is fellow Brixton group Shame, who have just put ‘The Lick’ up on streaming services.

If you’ve caught them live already, whether it’s at a sticky and sweaty venue on these shores or at their gigantic performance at Pitchfork Festival in Paris (where Charlie lovingly licked a fan), then you’d have heard this one before. If you haven’t, get your ears round it right now.
