New Music Of The Day: Trudy – ‘Baby I’m Blue’ (Video)

It’s a bit cheeky, this, seeing as we already blogged Trudy’s ‘Baby I’m Blue’ – the audio version – back in January. But it’s really worth revisiting now that the Liverpool band have put the video up.

Since January they’ve played a bunch of shows around the UK, including a particularly buzzy one at Oslo in London that had a fair few industry people checking them out. It feels like if anyone’s gonna do anything from Liverpool in the next 12 months, it’ll be this lot and future dance-punk geniuses Pink Kink.

Tarek Musa from Spring King produced ‘Baby I’m Blue’, which is probably why it sounds so sprightly. Meanwhile, the video features lots of home video footage of singer Olly Taylor as a kid.
