Radar Tip Of The Day 43: Friends

We put Brooklyn newcomers Friends in our 50 Best New Bands Of 2011 list a few weeks back, so it’s mighty pleasing to hear they’ve signed a-proper with Lucky Number.

Their debut 7″ ‘Friend Crush’ (which also came out on the London-based label) was a catchy-as-hell rummage through the finer parts of proto-dance (from ‘Iko Iko’ to ESG), and although it’s now long sold-out physically, they’ve finally got a video to go alongside it. And well worth the wait it is too:

What’s more, the band have been hard at work on follow-up single – called ‘I’m His Girl’. It’ll be released in September, followed by a debut album proper in early 2012.
