Norway’s Spielbergs have just dropped the big rock banger you’ve been waiting for

As we launch NME Emerging – a platform where unsigned acts can build up and manage a profile page for their music, right here on NME – we’ll be shining a light on of the new profiles each week that stood out against the rest. If you sign up, you could end up right here on, just like this week’s pick, Spielbergs. Here’s what you need to know about them.

Sounds like: Piedriving post-punk with a pysch-rock edge.

Why you’re going to love them: Because this is brutal rock music firing on all cylinders. As simple as it sounds, the Norwegian group’s debut track ‘We Are All Going To Die’ is the perfect introduction to the trio – with clattering rhythms and razor-sharp riffs combining for a devastating listen.

Their upcoming EP – Distant Star – is much of the same, but sees them explore brave new territory. ‘Ghost Boy’, meanwhile, is a 8-minute epic that sounds like a lost record from your Dad’s record collection and ‘Daisy! It’s The New Me’ has all the makings of a pop-punk classic.

Now, take time to bask in the pessimistic glory ‘We Are All Going To Die’ – but now that that even bigger things are on the horizon.
