Touts bring some serious rage on punk-anthem ‘Political People’

You’d be hard pressed to find a an emerging band quite so full of rage right now than Touts. The Derry trio gave us a right earful on their twisting, soon-to-be-punk-anthem-for-a-generation ‘Sold Out’ and the remainder of their debut EP was equally as switched on and seriously fucking angry.

None more so than on ‘Political People’, which as you can imagine, is as critical and intense as the title suggestions. Channeling clear influences like The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers and even modern-punk icons Green Day, the teenage trio take aim at the mainstream political parties, and their lack of empathy, understanding and hope for many young people looking to vote in upcoming elections both here and abroad. Fitting listening for today, you can imagine.
