Brie Larson On How To Rock The ‘Room’ As A DJ

There’s nothing than worse than the DJ dropping an absolute clanger mid-set, killing the vibe, their rep and souring any good of memories of the night. Worry not amateur DJs, Academy Award winner Brie Larson has got some ace tips on how to rock the ‘Room’.

Now that conspicuous pun is out the way, let’s see what Larson thinks is vital for a banging DJ set. ‘Always have a couple of rap or R&B jams’ up your sleeve, Larson reckons, so make sure you pack your copy ‘Hypnotize’ by Biggie. ‘It always helps to have a couple Nick Lowe or Elvis Costello in there as well’, really? We love ‘Alison’, but we’re not sure how well it’ll go down 2 AM, when the crowd needs a much needed pick up. And lastly – “don’t play a ton of ’60s Beatles covers in German at a Coachella party,” not being funny, but we could have told you that Brie.
