Filipino pop group SB19 will star in a Christmas short film titled Ex-Mas premiering tomorrow (December 18).
In a tweet on December 15, the group made the announcement with a poster featuring members of SB19 and content creators Jenny Yeo, Yani De Dios and Kristypata (Kristy Cho). Ex-Mas was directed by Rose Ariana Lope.
The Ex-Mas trailer was posted two days later. It shows a montage of holiday-scenery and ends with the banner “Reminisce the good and bad times with this barkada (friend group) this holiday season.” Watch it below.
There are no details yet on where Ex-Mas will premiere, but more updates are expected on SB19’s social media platforms.
Earlier this year, SB19 released their first album ‘Get In the Zone’, featuring their hit tracks ‘Alab (Burning)’ and ‘Hanggang Sa Huli’.
SB19 performed their first international virtual show back in November. They also performed at the YouTube FanFest and G Music Fest. On December 31, they will join a slew of other Filipino acts on the line-up of the virtual concert BYE 2020.
The group recently came in sixth in Billboard’s list of Social 50 Artists of 2020. Alongside them are K-pop groups like BTS, EXO, and BLACKPINK, as well as international artists like Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish.
