The livestream shares a name with Kiana’s contribution to ‘semilucent’, the debut mixtape released in July by 88rising’s Filipino imprint Paradise Rising. Other Filipino musicians on the project include Jason Dhakal, Leila Alcasid and Fern.
Safe Place will be Kiana’s first show since moving back to the Philippines earlier this month after a nine-month stay in the US to work on her music career.
While she was overseas, she released the song ‘No Rush’ featuring Filipino-Australian producer Billy Davis in April under Tarsier Records and ABS-CBN Music. She also released ‘Corners’ in the same month with an accompanying homemade music video.
Earlier this year, Kiana became part of Paradise Rising, the localized label of 88rising. Her track ‘Safe Place’ was part of the five-track ‘semilucent’ EP alongside fellow.
In September, Kiana performed virtual shows at the G Music Fest and the international music fest All That Matters 2020.
Kiana made her debut in 2016 with her single ‘Circles’. Her first album ‘See Me’ was released in 2019.
