Dance your way out of the blues with the new track

Yuna has dropped a groovy new single titled ‘Dance Like Nobody’s Watching’ today (December 4).

The new single is a dancey departure from the Malaysian artist’s usual R&B sound, carrying deep house beats that accompany her signature velvety voice. “When the tears are falling / Heart is breaking / Love is fading / Dance like nobody’s watching,” she declares.

‘Dance Like Nobody’s Watching’ comes a day after Yuna performed a special live-streamed concert from Kuala Lumpur Aquaria KLCC. She also performed a set for the Double Happiness Winter Festival livestream.

Thanking her fans, Yuna waxed nostalgic on her musical journey, saying it was everything she ever wanted and that it was “real” and “organic”.

She added, “It wasn’t put together by a tech and marketing expert. I just took my time learning, enjoyed my years, got myself a degree, made some friends, made music I love and also experience life.”

“It’s pretty surreal to look at these numbers and see how I’ve slowly put together a music career brick by brick in the last decade, and I still get to be artist and the person I strive to be without having to sacrifice life experiences, family, & identity.”

In August, Yuna released her single ‘Invisible’, which picks up where her 2016 single ‘Crush’, featuring American R&B singer Usher, left off. In May, she put out the track ‘Stay Where You Are’, which was was released independently following her critically acclaimed album ‘Rouge’ under Verve Forecast Records and Universal Music Group in July 2019.

The 2019 album featured artists such as Tyler, The Creator, G Eazy, Little Simz, Masego and Jay Park.
