Lunadira and Reddi Rocket collide in new music video for ‘am I gonna die?’

From their collaborative EP 'Tangerine'

Malaysian R&B artist Lunadira and producer Reddi Rocket have dropped a whimsical music video for their song ‘am I gonna die?’.

The song is taken from their collaborative five-track EP titled ‘Tangerine’, which was released on November 27.

Produced by Lunadira and filmmaker Hidden Notes, the music video premiered on YouTube on Friday (December 11). In the clip, the two artists cruise down a deserted road in the countryside, colliding in a ‘car crash’ that leaves them a little worse for wear.

Prior to the EP, the two had teamed up on the singles ‘Lotto’ earlier this year. They temporarily set aside their solo work to record ‘Tangerine’, which explores themes of bittersweet nostalgia, unrequited love, and failing relationships.

“There aren’t a lot of songs on the radio that talks about falling in love but doubting it. We decided to talk about unrequited love, being afraid of ruining relationships, and simply accepting that you’re not the one,” Lunadira told NME in an interview.

“But it’s not exclusively about romantic relationships, and it’ll be interesting to see how people ingest and interpret the songs for themselves.”
