Malaysian rapper Hullera has dropped her latest single ‘Mamat’ with an accompanying music video.
The song was made available on major streaming services on Christmas (December 25), with the music video uploaded to YouTube the same day.
Directed by Arifvc, the clip features Hullera sporting a mullet and details her encounter with a short-term love interest. Watch the music video below.
The lyrics for ‘Mamat’, which loosely translates to ‘dude’ in Malay, revolves around the theme of being a player.
“Yeh I’m a player that only plays with your heart / Love’s not a game and it’s you I never loved,” the rapper sings on the track.
In an Instagram post on the day of the release, the artist dedicated the song and music video to her fans. “This is for my listeners, thank you for believing in me since day 1,” she wrote.
Hullera also thanked her team for collaborating on the visuals and making sure “everything went well”. Read the full post below.
The up-and-coming Malaysian rapper launched her first single ‘Biarkan’ in 2019, which has already racked up more than 1million views on YouTube.
In June 2019, Hullera was also featured on Ramengvrl’s track ‘bad minah’, a single taken off the Indonesian rapper’s ‘no bethany’ mixtape.
Since early this year, Hullera has released a string of singles, including ‘Buntu’, ‘Cek Balik, and ‘Obsesiku’, apart from collaborative tracks such as ‘Konfem Baek’ with rapper Wuzgut.
