South Korean musician B.I has released a music video for his new single, ‘Got It Like That’, featuring singer Destiny Rogers and rapper Tyla Yaweh.
The laidback clip opens with Rogers performing the opening verse in a brightly lit warehouse set, before B.I joins in for the catchy chorus: “Pose for the flick, yeah we got it like that / Show off the drip like we got it like that / Know what it is, we just poppin’ like that.”
The former iKON member handles the second verse, with bars in both English and Korean. “I know that you thinkin’ of me / Look in the mirror, ya I love me / Everyday I wake up feelin’ myself / Started from the bottom now we only top shelf.” he sings, before Yaweh wraps up the song.
‘Got It Like That’ was produced by hitmakers The Stereotypes and is expected to be featured in B.I’s forthcoming album, due out on June 1. Last week, the 24-year-old singer also previewed the forthcoming album’s recording process with a behind-the-scenes video that was posted on his personal Instagram account.
‘Got It Like That’ will be B.I’s second release of the year, following his three-song EP ‘Midnight Blue (Love Streaming)’ in March. In a glowing four-star review of the EP, NME‘s Ruby C called the project a “pensive yet hopeful EP could well and truly bring comfort to those who have missed hearing from him, and keep them looking forward to more”.
In other K-pop news, BLACKPINK‘s Lisa has reportedly worked with DJ Snake on a brand-new collab. Over the weekend, the French producer alleged in a series of now-deleted tweets that he had collaborated with the K-pop idol on a new song, and even claimed that the track is “done”.
