Ball Park Music, Spacey Jane and more to play Melbourne edition of Summer Sounds

Taking place in February and March

Summer Sounds Festival will stop into Melbourne in February and March, with a lineup featuring Ball Park Music, Spacey Jane and more.

The festival, which has set up shop in Adelaide for much of January, will take over Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl for four nights. Performances are locked in for February 25-27 as well as for March 4.

So far, organisers have announced two of the acts performing on each night, teasing that more will be unveiled in the coming weeks.


A handful of those already named, including Something For Kate and Bernard Fanning, appeared at the Adelaide iteration of the festival. Find the full Melbourne lineup below.

Tickets to Summer Sounds are on sale from 9am AEDT on February 1. In keeping with social distancing restrictions, punters will be able to purchase tickets in groups of two, four or six. On selecting their tickets, patrons will choose to be seated in either private decks, stall tables or balcony seats.

The lineup for Melbourne’s Summer Sounds Festival is:

Thursday 25 – Ball Park Music, Thelma Plum + special guest
Friday 26 – King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Tropical Fuck Storm + special guest
Saturday 27 – Bernard Fanning, Something For Kate + special guest

Thursday 4 – Spacey Jane, RAT!Hammock + special guest
