Christine Anu, Tommy Emmanuel, Caiti Baker to play Blues On Broadbeach 2021

More acts are to be announced

Christine Anu, Tommy Emmanuel and Caiti Baker feature in Blues On Broadbeach’s first lineup announcement for 2021, which was revealed today (December 10).

Also on the bill are The Black Seeds, The Lachy Doley Group, The Aretha Franklin Songbook and many more. Find the first lineup for the event, which will take place from May 20 to 23 next year, below.

Aussie blues guitar legend Emmanuel spoke in a press release of his excitement at returning to perform live in Australia, saying: “My late brother Phil had played the festival and raved about it.


“I am very honoured to be asked and will give my absolute best to the fans!!!”

The Gold Coast blues fixture will return in 2021 with an array of local Aussie talent and international blues favourites after its 2020 event was cancelled due to the pandemic.

In place of its 2020 event – which had been scheduled to take place in May – Blues On Broadbeach presented a livestream event entitled Bandwidth, which saw Emmanuel, The Black Sorrows and more perform.

Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate said that Blues On Broadbeach is “iconic for the Goldie and I know thousands of people travel throughout Australia to get to it.

“Let’s get those trumpets, saxophones, and guitars humming in 2021.”
