DMA’S, G Flip, Lime Cordiale announced for BASSINTHEGRASS’ 2021 return

The festival cancelled its 2020 instalment due the pandemic

Darwin festival BASSINTHEGRASS has announced the full lineup for its 2021 event, currently scheduled for May.

For its 18th year, the day festival will play host to DMA’S, G Flip, Lime Cordiale, Ocean Alley, The Rubens, The Jungle Giants and Thelma Plum, among others.

For The Jungle Giants in particular, it will be the band’s first time performing in the Northern Territory.

“It’s been such a long time between shows and this will be our first time in the Northern Territory,” guitarist Cesira Aitken.

“It’ll be a special time after such a weird year, we can’t wait!”

The festival will be held at Darwin’s Mindil Beach on May 15, 2021. Limited general admission tickets are available until February 1, after which a more expensive final release will be available.

Prior to the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, BASSINTHEGRASS had announced the lineup for its 2020 instalment. Many artists performing next year were confirmed for the 2020 lineup. The event was, however, rescheduled to October before being cancelled outright.

“With such a great selection of acts we expect music fans from around Australia to venture north, where they can soak up the sun, sand and good vibes at what has become an unmissable event for Territorians,” NT Major Events Company CEO Tim Watsford said in a statement.

The 2021 BASSINTHEGRASS lineup is:

Boo Seeka
G Flip
Hayden James
Jack River
The Jungle Giants
Lime Cordiale
Missy Higgins
Ocean Alley
