Jo Yu-ri unveils playful music video for new single ‘Loveable’

The former IZ*ONE member's sophomore mini-album 'Op.22 Y-Waltz : in Minor' is out now

K-pop soloist and former IZ*ONE member Jo Yu-ri has released her sophomore mini-album ‘Op.22 Y-Waltz : in Minor’, featuring lead single ‘Loveable’.

The three-track mini-album dropped on October 24 at 6pm KST, alongside an accompanying music video for its title track ‘Loveable’. In the new visual, Jo sits in the middle of a piazza with a cup of coffee. She quietly watches a little boy playing a balloon pop arcade game in order to win a prize and decides to help him out.

“You’re not bad / But rather good, the images inside of you / It’s not fault / Just show it to me,” Jo belts in the chorus.

‘Op.22 Y-Waltz : in Minor’ is completed by B-sides ‘Blank’ and ‘Favorite Part’, and followed her last music output, which was the promotional single ‘Maybe’, released in partnership with South Korean fan community app Universe in August.

The new record also arrived nearly five months after her first mini-album ‘Op.22 Y-Waltz : in Major’ dropped in June, featuring lead single ‘Love Shhh!’. The five-track project also included B-sides like ‘Round and Around’ and ‘Opening’, the latter of which was co-written and co-composed by the idol.

The singer first debuted as a soloist in October 2021 with the solo single ‘Glassy’, making her the second ex-IZ*ONE member to go solo after the act’s disbandment in April that year, after former leader Kwon Eun-bi.

Notably, Jo is not the only former IZ*ONE member who dropped new music this month. Both soloists Kwon and Lee Chae-yeon released new mini-albums ‘Lethality’ and ‘Hush Rush’ respectively, the latter of which marked Lee’s official solo debut. October also saw the return of girl group LE SSERAFIM, whose line-up includes former IZ*ONE members Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chae-won.
