Listen to DZ Deathrays’ anthemic new rocker ‘All Or Nothing’

New album 'Positive Rising: Part 2' arrives later this year

Brisbane dance-punks DZ Deathrays have shared new single ‘All or Nothing’, the latest from forthcoming album ‘Positive Rising: Part 2’.

“It’s reminiscent of touring life and the idea that something like a guitar can bring so much joy and adventure to our lives,” the band’s Shane Parsons says of the blistering, anthemic cut.

DZ announced ‘Positive Rising: Part 2’ back in October alongside lead single ‘Fired Up’. The album is set to arrive July 9 via I Oh You, and is a successor to ‘Positive Rising: Part 1’, which the band released in 2019.

NME recently included ‘Positive Rising: Part 2’ on its list of Australian albums to look forward to in 2021.

“Honestly we should have had this record out in 2020 but being the year it was we wanted to give ourselves the best chance to showcase how proud we are of this album… both on and off the stage,” Parsons told NME.

“It’s definitely one of the biggest groove-based albums we have done to date with some of my favourite riffs littered throughout.”

Last month, DZ Deathrays teamed up with fellow Brisbanites WAAX, with each band covering one of the other’s songs. DZ shared a rendition of ‘F U’, while WAAX covered ‘Fired Up’.
