Released as a type of theme song for the content creator – real name Lucinda Price – the song features G Flip’s voice on the chorus and unmistakable Flume production.
Price also released a video for the song, which mainly sees her dance in a room Risky Business style. Watch the clip below:
The song premiered last night (January 17) on triple j’s The Tally Room with Dave Ruby Howe, and Price explained how the wild collab with two of the country’s biggest artists came to be.
“I’ve always been interested in becoming a musical genius,” she said, “but I didn’t know how it would come about. I always thought it was something that I would have to do alone.”
She explained that she began working on a song while waiting for a delayed flight, and after posting snippets of her work on Instagram, it caught the attention of G Flip and Flume.
“First of all, it was G Flip,” she said, “she got in contact and said ‘I’d love to do some vocals for you’ which I was offended by because, in my opinion, I’m a good singer.”
“I worked with her on the chorus,” she continued, “and then had Flume hit me in the inbox saying ‘Send me the stems and I’ll cook this up into a song for you’.”
