Melbourne band LOSER have shared details of their second studio album, entitled ‘All the Rage’.
The album, announced today (July 28), follows on from their 2020 debut ‘Mindless Joy’. It is scheduled for release on September 10 via Domestic La-La, the imprint founded by Violent Soho guitarist James Tidswell that also released ‘Mindless Joy’.
To coincide with the announcement, the band have shared a new single entitled ‘Head First’. It is the second song to be lifted from the album, following the release of ‘On the Edge’ in April. Its accompanying music video was created by production company Wild Rose Media.

In a press statement, lead singer and guitarist Tim Maxwell explained that ‘Head First’ was written about “determination”.
“This song is about… doing what I want in my life and never [giving] in,” he said.
“Musically, the idea was to have that acoustic blink[-182] feel, with a huge [Smashing] Pumpkins style verse and chorus.”
‘All the Rage’ was written and recorded at the band’s own Restless Noise Studios. Production was overseen by Maxwell and Craig Selak, the band’s bassist.
The album is also LOSER’s first as a four-piece. Previous drummer Chris Cowburn exited the fold in February, with guitarist Jake ‘Cutter’ Farrugia switching over to drums to replace him.
“I hope there’s something on this album that people feel like they can relate to,” said Selak in a statement.
“I hope people feel at home in these songs, and that it’s reaffirming on some level.”
The band are set to launch ‘All the Rage’ with a national tour across September and October this year. More dates are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
