Ocean Alley announce new film ‘Lonely Diamond – Live In Studio’

Showing them perform their new album, 'Lonely Diamond', in full

Ocean Alley have today (September 10) announced details of their new film, Lonely Diamond – Live In Studio, showcasing the band’s latest studio album.

The film will see the Northern Beaches band perform their third album, ‘Lonely Diamond’, in full at Sydney’s Studios 301.

This will also be the first time fans get to see Ocean Alley perform the album, which dropped in June, after touring plans were put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Shot by the band’s frequent collaborators The Sauce on 16mm film, the movie will also give fans an insight into what happens behind the scenes of the band’s preparation for a live performance.

The movie will premiere on Friday, September 25 via the band’s official website at 8pm local time in Sydney, New York, Los Angeles and the United Kingdom.

Tickets are available for purchase now and the film will remain available for ticketholders to watch any time for 48 hours following its premiere. From each ticket sold, $3 will be donated to young mental health organisation One Eighty as well as the Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

Lonely Diamond – Live In Studio follows the video series the band made, titled Constructing The Diamond, which was a weekly series that the band made showcasing the album’s creation.

In a four star review of ‘Lonely Diamond’, NME said it is “a monster of a record that manages to inspire excitement at every one of its dizzying turns, so hold on tight.”
