Sally Seltmann announces special ‘Heart That’s Pounding’ shows

Celebrating 10 years of her acclaimed solo album

Sally Seltmann will perform a solo show for the first time in over two years to celebrate the anniversary of her album ‘Heart That’s Pounding.’

Back in May, Seltmann announced that her 2010 album would be issued on vinyl to commemorate its 10-year anniversary.

Today (September 10), she has announced that she will play the album in full across two sets at Sydney’s Lansdowne Hotel on November 12.

Doors for the early show open at 6:30pm, while doors for the late show open at 9:30pm.

Bassist/keyboardist Neal Sutherland and drummer/percussionist Bree van Reyk will join Seltmann to perform the album.

Support for both sets will come from Blue Mountains singer-songwriter T. Wilds.

Seltmann last played at the Lansdowne in July 2019, where she performed as part of supergroup trio Seeker Lover Keeper.

The band released its second studio album, ‘Wild Seeds,’ in August of that year. They then toured extensively in support of it from September 2019 onwards. The tour concluded prematurely in March 2020 after the pandemic caused their final shows to be cancelled.

Although this will mark Seltmann’s first live solo show in years, the singer-songwriter did participate in the live-streamed music festival Isol-Aid earlier this year.

Seltmann’s most recent release was the soundtrack for Australian TV series The Letdown. Seltmann wrote and performed the show’s soundtrack alongside her husband, former Avalanches drummer Darren Seltmann.
