The track is described by the duo as “sunburnt UKG [UK garage] vibes.” Patrick Mikha created the single’s artwork, while former Cloud Control bassist Doug Wright mixed it.

Slim Set – composed of MC Uncle Kal and DJ Atro – first began putting out music together in 2018. Their debut EP, ‘Feed,’ was released that same year. Its two singles, ‘Cooked’ and ‘Lazy,’ both featured in high rotation on FBi Radio while also receiving triple j airplay.

They were nominated for three Sydney Music, Arts & Culture (SMAC) Awards in early 2019, including Best Live Act and Best Song for ‘Cooked.’ 2019 also saw the duo collaborate with Sydney noise-rock band Shady Nasty, resulting in the single ‘Warrang.’

In March 2020, the group performed at the Golden Plains festival in Victoria alongside the Pixies, Hot Chip and Sleaford Mods. They also opened for American rapper Wiki at his Sydney show in late February. The duo were set to perform at the since-cancelled Bad Friday Festival in April 2020.
