Stuck Out release destructive pop-punk banger, ‘Inverse’

From their upcoming EP 'Lie Through Your Teeth'

Melbourne four-piece Stuck Out have dropped an anthemic pop-punk banger, ‘Inverse’, lifted from their forthcoming EP ‘Lie Through Your Teeth’.

A boisterous and anthemic addition to the genre, ‘Inverse’ was released today (December 2) ahead of the arrival of Stuck Out’s sophomore EP ‘Lie Through Your Teeth’ on December 18.

The new track follows on from the EP’s first cut, ‘Mindless’, which featured a guest vocal appearance from Yours Truly frontwoman Mikaila Delgado.

Stuck Out’s Josh Walker discussed the delicate nature of ‘Inverse’ in a press release, saying, “This song looks at self-destructive behaviour and the lies we tell ourselves to excuse harmful choices.

“It’s very easy to shift and project blame onto things around us when we’re facing a problem and ignore our own negative contribution to the issue.

“I’ve had an on-and-off problem with alcohol and this song voices the struggle between my own self-awareness and blissful ignorance.”

Today’s single ties in with the themes of the forthcoming EP, which the band have said is “based around the consequences when we lie to others, we lie to ourselves, and we in turn are lied to”.
