Tash Sultana releases signature Fender Stratocaster guitar

Sultana collaborated with the legendary guitar manufacturer for their signature model

Fender have announced a new collaboration with Tash Sultana, with the guitarist releasing their own signature Stratocaster.

The songwriter worked in collaboration with the guitar manufacturer for their signature Strat, which features a a vibrant Transparent Cherry finish alongside all-gold hardware. Head here for more info and to purchase your own copy.

You can watch Sultana demo the new guitar and discuss their song ‘Pretty Lady’ as part of Fender’s Tracks video series below:

Specs-wise, Sultana’s guitar has a matching painted headstock, custom “skull” neck plate, along with Yosemite single-coil Strat and Dobule Tap humbucking bridge pickups. It features a deep “C”-shape maple neck, 9.5″ radius fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets and a vintage-style synchronised tremolo.

“Fender is one of the first guitars I saved up for when I started playing and in fact is the first instrument I learned to play,” commented Sultana in a statement.

“It’s really surreal to have my own signature model now after walking through music stores as a kid seeing so many guitars I wish I could have owned. The guitar has truly become my third arm and I hope that my signature guitar with Fender sparks other guitar players to create music that inspires and allows self expression freely.”

Sultana’s second album ‘Terra Firma’ is set to arrive in February, featuring previously-released tracks including ‘Pretty Lady’, ‘Willow Tree’, ‘Greed’ and ‘Beyond the Pine’.

Last last month, Sultana performed a wide-ranging headline show at Hordern Pavilion in Sydney as part of NSW’s Great Southern Nights series, with the guitarist later sharing a concert video of the full two-hour performance.
