The Jungle Giants, Genesis Owusu and more to play new QLD music festival

Taking place in Townsville this February

The Jungle Giants have been announced as headliners for Day Trip Music Festival, a new event taking place in Townsville next month.

Joining the band are the likes of Eves Karydas, Genesis Owusu, Stace Cadet, Young Franco and more.

The 2500-capacity festival will take place at the Townsville Turf Club on February 20, beginning at 2pm and going until 9pm. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.

“We really wanted to pair a stellar lineup with an intimate setting,” festival promoter Jake Reid said in a press statement.

“The event is going to be a new experience for North Queensland – we can’t wait for you to experience it.”

2020 was a solid year for all of the big name acts playing Day Trip Music Festival. The Jungle Giants dropped two new single in ‘Sending Me Ur Loving‘ and ‘In Her Eyes‘, as did Eves Karydas with ‘Get Me So High‘ and crossover hit ‘Complicated‘.

NME 100 artist Genesis Owusu also enjoyed success in the lead up to his forthcoming debut album, ‘Smiling With No Teeth’. He dropped a slew of singles with ‘I Am‘, ‘Whip Cracker‘, ‘The Other Black Dog‘ and the ARIA-nominated ‘Don’t Need You‘.
