The Rubens announce “intimate and local” tour to launch ‘0202’

The six-date run goes through Bathurst, Morton, Tamworth, Dubbo, Port Macquarie and Thirroul with support from Stevan

The Rubens have announced an album launch tour for ‘0202’ in regional Australia, kicking off early next month.

The “Intimate & Local” shows will begin in Bathurst on February 4, before running through Morton, Tamworth, Dubbo, Port Macquarie, and finishing in Thirroul on the 20th. The record will come out in the middle of those dates, on February 12. Stevan will support the band at all six shows.

The new tour is separate to the previously-announced album tour in support of ‘0202’, which is slated to start in April.

Tickets for “Intimate & Local” will go on general sale from 8am February 1 here; an exclusive presale will be available to those who pre-order ‘0202’ until January 29 or allocation exhausted.

NME named ‘0202’ one of 14 Australian albums and EPs to look forward to in 2021, calling it “an unadulterated statement of intent from the New South Wales band”.

The Rubens have so far shared four singles from the album, including ‘Live In Life’, ‘Heavy Weather’ and ‘Time Of My Life‘.

Thursday 4 – Bathurst Memorial Centre, Bathurst
Friday 5 –  The Barn on the Ridge, Morton
Thursday 11 – Tamworth Town Hall, Tamworth
