The Teskey Brothers release video for ‘Highway Home For Christmas’

Ahead of their special online concert with Orchestra Victoria

The Teskey Brothers have released an official music video for their recent festive offering, ‘Highway Home For Christmas’.

The song – originally released on December 3 – was announced by the Melbourne blues outfit in a tweet, in which they said that they “had a VERY fun time making this one,” before giving a shoutout to the music video’s director, the “great” Nick Mckk.

‘Highway Home For Christmas’ also dropped alongside a second song, ‘Dreaming of A Christmas With You’.

Taking to Twitter to spread festive cheer, The Teskey Brothers originally posted: “Two gifts to give today! Our new songs, ‘Dreaming of A Christmas With You’ (+ the video!) and ‘Highway Home For Christmas’ are out today for your merriment.”

As well as the double festive feast, The Teskey Brothers announced a special online concert with Orchestra Victoria at Melbourne’s Hamer Hall, set to air via the band’s YouTube channel on December 22 at 10am AEST.

Back in May, the band released a live album, ‘The Teskey Brothers — Live At The Forum’, which went on to become their first number one record and the first Australian live album to top the ARIA charts since 1992.

At the 2020 ARIA Awards last week, The Teskey Brothers took out the prize for Best Blues & Roots Album for ‘Live At The Forum’.

The Teskey Brothers performed as part of Great Southern Nights in November, marking their first live shows since February.

The Melbourne natives will appear at SummerSalt 2021, playing its Hobart, Mornington, Ballarat, Geraldton, Perth, Wollongong, Sydney, Canberra and Darwin editions alongside the likes of John Butler, Montaigne, Emily Wurramara, Boy & Bear and The Cat Empire.
