Unify Gathering lock in dates for 2022

The 2021 event was cancelled last month

After cancelling its event for 2021 last month due to ongoing COVID concerns, Unify Gathering has locked in dates for a 2022 edition.

The heavy music camping festival will now go ahead from Thursday January 20 to Sunday January 23, 2022. The festival intends to retain “as much of our already booked line-up intact”, gelling with the announcement made by UNIFY Gathering back in April, when organisers revealed their intention to feature an all-Aussie lineup.

The lineup was slated to replicate the bill of UNIFY’s 2015 debut event, which featured the likes of The Amity AfflictionNorthlaneIn Hearts Wake, Thy Art Is Murder, Hellions and more on. There is no word yet on when a final lineup for the 2022 event will be confirmed.

A radio takeover to replace the 2021 event wrapped up last weekend, featuring past and new interviews with UNIFY artists, as well as live tracks from past performances and crossovers to fans and musicians. A press release today revealed 7000 listeners tuned into the broadcast.

In January last year, UNIFY Gathering took place in Tarwin Lower, Victoria, featuring international headliners Architects and The Ghost Inside, as well as Australian acts Polaris, Tonight Alive and Tired Lion, among many others.
