Tash Sultana has shared a filmed rendition of Bon Iver‘s ‘Flume’, recorded at their home.

In the video’s description, Sultana described ‘Flume’ as “one of my favourite songs of all time by one of my favourite artists of all time.”

“I get found in [Bon Iver’s] music,” they said.

Bon Iver originally released ‘Flume’ as the opening track to their 2007 debut record, ‘For Emma, Forever Ago’. Sultana’s rendition remains faithful to the stirring original. Watch their performance below:

In the past month, Tash Sultana has uploaded a filmed rendition of unreleased track ‘Into The Night’ as well as a ‘Daily improv jams’ video performance. The home recordings followed on from a handful of other live performances shared throughout the year.

Sultana’s second album, ‘Terra Firma’, will hit shelves on February 19. It is set to include such previously released singles as ‘Beyond The Pine’ and ‘Willow Tree’.

Following their new album’s release, Tash Sultana will feature at WOMAdelaide in March. The South Australian festival’s 2021 lineup also includes Midnight Oil, Archie Roach and Sampa The Great, among others.

In December, Sultana performed live as part of The Sound, playing through their 2017 single, ‘Mystik’. They also appeared on the lineup of New South Wales’ Great Southern Nights festival earlier in 2020.
