The National, Patti Smith, Suede, Father John Misty and more to perform at Glasgow’s Summer Nights festival

Glasgow’s Summer Nights at the Bandstand have announced their 2019 line-up – with the likes of The National, Patti Smith, Father John Misty, Suede, and Bloc Party set to perform. Check out the full line-up below.

Taking place across July and August, the Kelvingrove Bandstand event will welcome an eclectic mix of artists to the Scottish city. Although a different act will take the stage each evening, Ohio band The National will play two consecutive nights on August 6/7.

Elsewhere, Patti Smith will play a show on August 1, before ‘God’s Favorite Customer‘ artist Father John Misty performs the following evening. Bloc Party – who have recently announced more ‘Silent Alarm’ shows for 2019 – look likely to showcase their classic indie LP during their gig on August 9.

Taking things back to the ’80s, Sheffield synth group The Human League will perform on August 3 – providing a change of pace in between Father John Misty and The National’s shows.

Tickets go on general sale this Friday (January 25).

Meanwhile, The National were recently confirmed alongside Florence + The Machine for a huge London show as part of British Summer Time 2019. They also join the likes of Elbow, Kylie Minogue, and The Wombats on the bill for this year’s Sounds of the City series in Manchester.
