The US band are currently working on a new studio album with producer Danger Mouse (Black Keys, U2) which frontman Anthony Kiedis has said he feels “are as good as any songs we’ve ever written.”

Late last year Kiedis’ bandmate Flea confirmed Red Hot Chili Peppers are recording a new album and described it as “super danceable”.

Open’er was headlined by Drake, Mumford and Sons, The Libertines and Kasabian in 2015 on a bill that also included Alt-J, A$AP Rocky, Alabama Shakes, Major Lazer, Disclosure, Years & Years, St. Vincent, The Vaccines, The Prodigy and more.

Fan tickets for the 2016 festival are on sale now, with early-bird tickets going on sale later this month.
