This Primavera livestream will stop you from getting serious FOMO

Essential viewing.

Primavera Sound has launched a livestream of the festival’s best sets, and it’s the perfect thing to deal with the fear of missing out that will only increase this weekend.

The Barcelona festival began last night with an epic headline show from Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. It’s only set to get even better over the weekend with appearances from The National, Haim, Lorde and Arctic Monkeys.

But if you can’t be there, Primavera has offered the second best thing – a livestream that captures some of the festival’s greatest moments.

It’s currently showing the best bits from last night, and you can view it in all its glory below.

NME’s verdict of the festival’s first day singled out Nick Cave for praise, likening his appearance to that of a “dark overlord”.

“Seeming to emerge out of the blackness itself, an opening salvo of ‘Jesus Alone’ and ‘Do You Love Me?’ set the Hammer horror scene for the evening”, NME wrote.
“Stalking the stage and the front rows of the crowd like a dog on the hunt, Cave himself is the most absorbing character imaginable.

“‘Come Into My Sleep’ makes for a brooding, hypnotic twist, before ‘Red Right Hand’ sees the previously monochrome stage lighting shine a bright crimson, an assembled congregation thrusting their outstretched palms at their dark overlord.”
