The Weeknd, Migos, Dua Lipa sets cancelled as Panorama Festival is evacuated

Fans also missed Father John Misty and The War on Drugs

Inclement weather conditions at New York City’s Panorama Music Festival have forced organisers to cancel the first day.

Pitchfork reports that ticketholders were evacuated from the site today (July 27) and told that it would reopen tomorrow.

Festival staff stated in a push notification sent to attendees: “We are evacuating due to severe weather. Please exit the way you entered. Panorama has been cancelled today and will re-open tomorrow.”

Sets from artists including Migos, Dua Lipa, The War on Drugs, The Weeknd, Father John Misty, Yaeji, and more have been cancelled.

Last year, Panorama was forced to cancel selected sets after a stage floor collapsed.

Janet Jackson, Lil Wayne, SZA, St Vincent, and more are due to play tomorrow (July 28).

Sunday (July 29) sees performances from The Killers, The xx, David Byrne, Fleet Foxes, and many more.
